Explosion at L. Gordon Iron & Metal Co. in Statesville, NC

Statesville, North Carolina | April 26, 2023

At approximately 11:10am this morning, the Statesville Fire Department was dispatched to L. Gordon Iron & Metal Co. located at 1300 Salisbury Road for an explosion in an outside machine that resulted in a fire.  The control time of the fire was 11:40am, and one employee was treated for smoke inhalation.
