Celebrating Park and Recreation Month with the Statesville Recreation and Parks Department

July is Park & Recreation Month, and there’s no better time to discover all that the Statesville Recreation & Parks Department has to offer! This month-long celebration is dedicated to highlighting the vital role our parks and recreational facilities play in the community. Whether you’re looking to get active, enjoy the outdoors, or participate in fun programs, there’s something for everyone.

Discover City of Statesville Parks

Statesville is home to over 20 parks and properties, each offering unique amenities and beautiful green spaces. From tranquil walking trails to bustling playgrounds, our parks provide the perfect setting for relaxation and recreation.

Caldwell Park: A great spot for families, this park offers playgrounds, picnic shelters, pickleball and tennis courts, restrooms, and even a Dog Park!

Martin Luther King Jr Park: It is the perfect location to host family gatherings, reunions and small weddings. This park offers 3 shelters with fireplaces, playground equipment, walking trails, bocce ball courts and an amphitheater.

Pecan Park: Conveniently located in Downtown Statesville, this park is home to the Evening Farmer's Market every Thursday from April through October. You can also enjoy lunch in the shade!

South Statesville Park and Playground: You'll enjoy open green space along with a basketball court, playground and picnic shelter at this City park!
